Understanding and Using Unlocked Quad-Band GSM Mobile Phones
Specific Commonly Asked Technical Support Questions
- Can I place my order over the phone?
- Sorry, all orders must be placed online. While we're available to answer any questions you may have over the phone, our website assures our customers that their personal information is completely hidden and encrypted from our staff. Orders are processed through our automated system and sent directly to the warehouse for shipping.
- If I order now, when will my order ship?
- All IN STOCK items will display a real-time shipping countdown clock above the ADD TO CART button. The display will show you exactly how much time is left to place your order before our daily cutoff time. Any order placed before the displayed cutoff time, and clears our credit department will process and ship the same day.
- Do orders really ship out on Saturday?
- Yes, they sure do. In fact, most orders shipped using Priority Mail on Saturday are out for delivery Monday morning. Our shipments are sent directly from the airport into the mail stream for quick and reliable delivery.
- The item I want is now showing as Backordered. Can I still order it?
- Yes, in fact we recommend it. Items that are in-transit to our warehouse will also display an estimated arrival date. By placing the item on Backorder, our system will reserve the item for you guaranteeing that you will receive stock from that shipment. If you choose to wait until our stock arrives, all backorders are filled first, so the item may show a new backorder date if the inbound shipment is sold out. If you place an item on backorder, our system will Pre-Authorize your payment to inform you and us that funds are available. Of course, you are NEVER charged for a backorder until the item arrives and ready to be shipped, unless you choose Paypal as a payment method.
- The item I want is now showing as Out Of Stock. Can I still order it?
- When an item is listed as Out Of Stock this indicates that the item is currently Sold Out and the manufacturer has not given us a restock date. To prevent our customers from ordering an item that we don't have a restock date on, the Add To Cart button is removed. If the status on the item should change, the product's stock indicator will change from Out Of Stock to Backordered and the Add To Cart button will be restored to allow for backorders.
- Will I receive a tracking number for my order?
- Absolutely. Once your order has been processed, packed and shipped, you will receive an email with a USPS tracking number. International shipments also receive a tracking number which can be tracked at the USPS website and for many countries on their own country's postal website.
- I'm outside the USA, so what currency will I be billed in?
- Our site displays all items and payments in US Dollars. Your credit card company and/or Paypal will convert your US dollar purchase into your own currency. There are many websites online that will give you an estimate at the current exchange rate. You can also call your local bank and inquire.
- Are all the phones brand new and include a warranty?
- Yes, all our phones and accessories are brand new, arrive direct from the manufacturer, and are factory fresh. We never sell any item on our site that is refurbished, off contract or previously used. Yippz is also an factory authorized dealer for every item we sell, so you can rest assured that a full manufacturer's warranty is valid.
- What does ''All Phones Are Unlocked'' mean and what is the benefit of 2 or more SIM cards?
- All of the phones available on Yippz are unlocked and have never been locked to a carrier. That means that all our GSM phones will allow you to insert 2 (or more on some models) SIM cards of your choice, from the carrier of your choice and from the country of your choice. Having the ability to use 2 or more SIM cards is like carrying around 2 or more phones from 2 or more countries all in 1 compact phone. If you no longer like or need a carrier anymore, simply remove that carrier's SIM card and insert a different carrier's SIM card, or leave one of the SIM card slots empty for future use. For more information, check our detailed Blog Post.
- How do I know which SIM cards are compatible?
- All SIM cards that work over the GSM network will work with our phones. If you're unsure whether your GSM provider will work with our phones, you can check the
Mobile World Coverage Database for a compete list of compatible working GSM networks worldwide. If you're still not sure, please contact us to verify compatibility.
